A very hardy, drought resistant, rapid growing tree. Has all the good qualities of regular cottonwood, but no 'cotton' mess. Foliage is deeper green and larger than the common cottonwood with resistance to leaf rust. Fall color is yellow. Its 70 to 80 foot mature height makes it a fine shade or shelter belt tree.
